
BIOGRAPHY
Sonic X is a modern rock band based in Toronto, Canada. The lineup features Joey Greco, Joseph Cumbo, Adam Troy, and newest member Sil Simone. Formed in 2004, the band grew out of a collective of accomplished musicians united by their passion for writing and producing unforgettable music that rocks. Over the years, Sonic X has evolved from a hard rock outfit into a more diverse, modern-sounding rock band. Their world-class writing, musicianship, and production—rooted in personal experiences—have shaped a unique sound that has become their signature.
Early Years & Breakthroughs

2004: Sonic X released their self-titled debut album on Z Records, featuring the fan-favorite “News for You,” which remains one of their most streamed tracks.

2007: The band followed up with THIRTEEN on Chavis Records, highlighted by the single “Seeds of Thunder,” which earned airplay on Sirius XM’s Breaking Bone.
Continued Growth

2015: The 4-song EP Fall from Grace introduced singles “Save Yourself” and “PRAY,” expanding their audience and popularity.

2019: Joey Greco stepped in as lead vocalist, marking a new era for the band. Later that year, they released the 5-song EP Fly Around the World, with its title track becoming a radio-friendly anthem.
A New Chapter

2022: Original vocalist Adam Troy returned, sharing vocal duties with Greco. That same year, Sonic X released their third full-length album, All Been Said and Done, a deeply personal record with the standout title track.

2023: Their fourth album, XIV Shades of X, showcased 14 diverse songs, including the powerful single “Anxiety,” which captured the turbulence of modern times. The band also released singles and videos for “All In My Head” and “Imagine Your Life.”

2023: Sonic X released a haunting, melodic version of the Christmas classic Silent Night, further cementing their reputation for reimagining timeless songs with modern-rock intensity.
Recent Highlights

2024: Sonic X dropped the 7-song EP SX, featuring tracks from the horror film RUN!—including “The Game,” “Hyperstatic,” and “Techno Chaos”—as well as the emotional ballad “Just Shine.”

2025: The band released the original Christmas song “Every Christmas Day,” adding to their growing catalog of seasonal music.
Latest Release (2025)
Sonic X has just unveiled a powerful reimagined rock version of the Christmas classic “Joy to the World.” The track fuses the timeless spirit of the original with the band’s signature modern-rock energy, delivering a bold and memorable seasonal anthem.
Sonic X is currently in the studio working on a brand-new full-length album, scheduled for release in late 2026.
